Random Chinese Quote: Those who do not read are no better off than those who can not. ~

I recently made a new friend here in Shenzhen who is from Xi'an and I was inspired to finally post some pictures I have from there. Like so many cities in China, Xi'an is very beautiful, has some great food, and some very interesting places to see. One of the most famous attractions of Xi'an are the terracotta warriors. I do have many more photos and some videos that I will try to post later, but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy these.

The Big Goose Pagoda on a cloudy day. It seems to be leaning a little. That's the tower and not my picture!

Some people lighting their incense sticks at the door to the Big Goose Pagoda. They all come here to pray; usually for money :)

A close-up view of a few of the famous, life-sized, terracotta warriors

Here is a few of the entire warehouse where they are all housed in their original location.

This is the famous Bell Tower at the center of Xi'an proper.

If you have a chance it is definitely worth it to stop for a show.

If you are lukcy enough to see a show, be sure to get a seat up front.

Aside from singing and dancing there is also some comedy.

And don't forget musical instruments too!

The emperor even comes for a look.

This is a shot of the northern part of the city wall from the outside. The people in the shot give some great perspective as to the height.

This is taken inside the stone forest, a building that houses classic Chinese works; including those of Confucius.
